Kalau dulu, menjadi seorang pendekar sakti hanyalah sebuah impian, kini Po (Jack Black) benar-benar menjadi seorang pendekar. Sayangnya, terwujudnya impian ini

juga membawa konsekuensi bagi Po. Ia tak boleh bermalas-malasan. Ia harus berlatih keras. Dan yang lebih penting lagi, Po harus bisa melindungi rakyat kecil yang tertindas. Tapi benarkah menjadi pahlawan pelindung rakyat kecil seperti itu hanya bisa dicapai dengan belajar Kung Fu?

Setelah pertempuran seru beberapa waktu yang lalu, kini Po bersama Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman), Master Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Master Viper (Lucy Liu), Master Monkey (Jackie Chan), Master Mantis (Seth Rogen), dan Master Crane (David Cross) bisa bernafas lega. Valley of Peace sudah kembali tenteram dan damai. Celakanya, itu tak berumur lama karena muncul kabar yang mengharuskan para pendekar sakti ini turun gunung.

Ada kabar kalau Lord Shen (Gary Oldman) ternyata memiliki sebuah senjata rahasia yang sangat berbahaya. Dengan senjata ini, sang raja berusaha menguasai seluruh negeri dan berencana menghancurkan ilmu bela diri Kung Fu. Untungnya, para pendekar sakti ini mendapat bantuan dari The SoothSayer (Michelle Yeoh), Master Skunkman (James Woods), Master Croc (Jean-Claude Van Damme), dan Master Thundering Rhino (Victor Garber). Maka mulailah perjalanan panjang para pendekar ini untuk mencari Lord Shen dan menggagalkan rencana jahat raja itu. Dan untuk itu sepertinya Po harus kembali menelusuri masa lalunya dan mencari senjata untuk melawan Lord Shen(Kapanlagi)
